Vail Snowboarding 2006 Season Report

November 16th, 2005

This winter in Vail, Colorado is turning out to be just what I expected … white fluffy snow, and deep. In the last two days it has snowed more than 10 inches easily. Lucky we were able to stack and split as much firewood as we did in the last days, otherwise we’d be fishtailing down the side roads in my friends old, balled-tired pickup.

Vail mountain opens this weekend. November 18, 2006. Although snowboarders and skiers alike have been making some turns at Loveland, Keystone, Copper, Breckenridge, and other surrounding resorts.

The annual returning Vail Instructor grin and grip sessions are now ended, and everyone in Vail Valley is busy waxing their snowboards and skis, excited for opening day.

This year Vail will have two new half pipes. More to come.
